New Music
Here's a list of some new music I've been listening to lately...
1. Griffin House A sentimental singer songwriter. Folksy. Johnny Cash meets Ryan Adams meets Bob Dylan...but not quite as good as any of them...Still worth downloading. Listen to "tell me a lie."
2. Ray Lamontagne People say he sounds like Van Morrison, but I think he sounds more like a mix between Neil Young and Tracy Chapman (hey she has a deep voice ok?). Check out the song "How Come."
3. Sufjan Stevens Singer songwriter who has an album dedicated to Michigan. Songs include: "The Upper Penensula", "Wolverine", and "Flint (for the unemployed and underpaid)".
4. The Fray Colorado's Coldplay.

hey dan it's brian, i got a blog in order to post...
did you know of sufjan before i mentioned him to you? He is most excellent, i love his banjo.
so i'm definately not going to see the shantee on friday. They are taping it for a dvd so i'll just get that and cry.
did i not have to set up an account? can you post anonymously?
anyways i had another word on music...what are your thoughts on derek webb? I saw him at a church a week ago and it was great.
Brian, yeah I checked him out because of your email. Decent stuff.
So are you going to start blogging?
sure, i'll start blogging...altho you will be the only one who reads it. Is there an undersurface affirmation thing going on with trying hard to write a good blog? I don't want that added pressure.
And yes you are a loser for wanting to be a character in don miller's book. He dwells on debunking cool quite a bit in both books and then we make him out to be cool...and relevant magazine is cool too. We are all so cool these days, ish...
That's my point...
