Well, I stayed up late just so I could see what we were in store for in February. Very interesting. Not quite sure who to compare them to. Will have to think on that one a little bit. How did you become obsessed over this band? Just curious? :)

wilco is an interesting band. the thing is, is that they don't really have "hit songs" but put together their songs make great albums. The song last night is probably my least favorite on their new album. They are known for writing their songs and then deconstructing and destroying them (last night's song was an exception) with sonic noises, static, radio, feedback and funky percussion instruments.

So, where does one go after Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in the Wilco collection? That is a very good album, and i am definitely ready to "dig deeper"...what would you, oh Mighty Obsessed One, suggest?

Their earlier stuff is more country (A.M.), Summerteeth is pop/alt/country, Being There is alt/country/rockabilly, and A Ghost is Born is unexplainable. I like A Ghost is Born best after YHF. So I'd say try that. If not, then go with Summerteeth.
