No, Steve, it's not same 'ol, same 'ol... at least not in my eyes.

It's easy to say, "Ah, hell, it's just part of war" until the war is fought on inland USA and it's our brothers, and cousins, and mentors dying for no good reason.I'm with you Dan... that really DOES suck.

ok. so i am going to be up all night writing a paper due tomorrow. oddly enough, it is about Bush's foreign policy ... so, dan, if i could respond to the article ...
1. these statistics are conservative estimates
2. these people died because of a war based on presumed possession of weapons of mass destruction, which was additionally presumed to lead to the use of these weapons (despite Saddam's lack of a delivery mechanism) ... i'm sorry, where are these weapons? so, basically over 100,000 people died b/c we suck.
3. Pres. Bush had been talking about the evils of Iraq and the necessity of getting rid of Saddam, in public speeches, over a year before the US suggested a UN resolution to "see if Iraq would disarm." Could Iraq have done anything to avoid war? especially since they didn't have anything to give up? weapons inspections would have revealed this.
4. What's happening in Iraq is one small taste of the death Bush's foreign policy has caused, so, naturally, if you are pro-life you should vote for Kerry. (I had to get that jab in there.)
5. vote. i don't care who you vote for (Kerry), just vote (kerry).
6. Dan, I agree (from an earlier blog) that you have a great impact on people's lives; however, this isn't an either/or situation. You can do both ... vote and continue to do what you are doing ...

i'll try to respond more, the past month has been absolutely crazy.

I've never really liked people dying...didn't know that made me liberal, but if so, then I guess I am. Who's talking anyway?
